Action Against the War in Afghanistan Took Place in Washington

On Monday, October 5, hundreds of demonstrators blocked the streets adjoining the White House in Washington, demanding to stop the war in Afghanistan.

The Anti-War Coalition Activists Chained Themselves Up. Their confederates are loudly chanting: “No war”. Many have posters with the same inscriptions . About ten persons lay down straight at the entrance to the President's Residence.

The Anti-War Coalition consists of about ten non-governmental organizations, including the War Resisters League, Veterans For Peace, the National Campaign for Nonviolent Resistance, the World Cannot Wait.

Americans do not support any more the operation in Afghanistan already lasting eight years. Some American editions carried out a survey “Do You support the antiterrorist operation in Afghanistan.” Statistics are the following: 51 percent of Americans believe that the war in Afghanistan does not cost human and financial losses, the USA agrees to. 42 percent declared against further contingent build-up.

As of today, in Afghanistan 779 American servicemen were killed, over 4 thousand were injured.
